The impact of terror on health and wellbeing
Dear Madam, dear Sir,
On the 22nd of March, 2016, there were two terrorist attacks in Brussels. The research group Mental Health
and Wellbeing of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is currently conducting a research concerning the
impact on health and wellbeing of terrorism and the terrorist threat that is connected with it.
With this research we want to analyze to what extent people feel threatened and what effect this has on
wellbeing and health. On the basis of this research, we will formulate specific recommendations for
caretakers and government, so that they may treat any possible problems and to improve the care of
people in the future.
We want to invite you to participate in this online research by clicking on the link below.
This will take not more than 15 minutes of your time. Your answers will be treated anonymously and will only
be used for scientific research.
If you have any questions regarding this research, you can contact us through roel.van.overmeire@vub.be.
We wish to thank you in advance
Sincerly,
Prof. Dr. Reginald Deschepper, Drs. Roel Van Overmeire, Drs. Stefaan Six, Dr. Marijke De Couck,
